The Campfire series has been asking us to see how we’re doing with our relationships. First of all, our relationship with our God, and secondly, with those around us. As you go, make disciples. What does that look like in our everyday lives? God has allowed me to make some of the closest relationships while serving  It’s nice to have a cup of coffee, study the word and visit with someone, but it’s also nice to demonstrate God’s love while “doing” something.

A couple of ideas:

Sign-up to deliver Meals on Wheels and ask someone to go with you. (Feb. 17-21)

Invite someone to come to the “Love Your City Prayer Walk”, pray with people and then go out to lunch together. (Feb. 8th)

Ask someone to help with a 5k for a good cause with you. (Pregnancy Resource Center “Leap for Life” March 15)

None of this earns us points with God. Our salvation is a gift. But when we are excited about something or we generally talk to someone about it as we go, it’s an outflow of what’s in our hearts. It sometimes just takes thinking about our lives a little differently.

Matthew 5:16 – In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

John 12:46 – I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me would not remain in darkness.

John 3:21 – But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

Our God is worthy of our worship. Worship is expressed in our everyday lives so lets shine His reflection as we go . . .
