In life, we worship many things we shouldn’t worship. In this season of Easter we need to shift our focus onto the one person we should, JESUS! There are many reasons for worshiping Jesus, so here are a few. In scripture, we see that Jesus was worshiped as the only God by:

  • the blind man (John 9:38)
  • the previously demonized man (Mark 5:6)
  • Thomas the doubter (John 20:38)
  • his best friend John (John 12:41; Revelation 1:17-18)
  • all of the disciples (Matthew 14:33; 28:17)
  • a group of women (Matthew 28:8-9)
  • the mother of James and John (Matthew 20:20)
  • angels (Hebrews 1:6)
  • entire churches (1 Corinthians 1:2)
  • his own mother (Acts 1:14)
  • his own brothers (James and Jude)
  • little children (Matthew 21:14-16, Psalm 8:2-9)
  • his former enemies like Paul (Romans 9:5); Colossians 1:15; 2:9)

When we think of worshiping a man such as this we must also realize we worship THE MAN! He is the greatest man to ever walk the earth. In John chapter 1 it outlines who He is and why He came. With Easter a few weeks away we need to get intentional about who we bring to church. Easter is the easiest of all Sundays to bring someone to church because most people will attend church on Easter. So get out there and bring a friend(s) to church. I will be praying for you.

I hope you join us next week as we continue our series THE MAN.

God bless you,
